Dragon Boat Festival

I have been complaining about the lack of dragons during my trip here, but I was finally rewarded the beginning of this month at the Dragon Boat festival. Wenzhou hosted the national dragon boat competition, which is like rowing, but on the fancy boats and it is a super short track.

These are the traditional boats, the ones they race look just like your standard rowing ones.

FINALLY SAW MY REAL DRAGON. They did a cool dance thing

It was super cool. And we got to watch the competition. The night before we hung out and being foreigners, we got free things at restaurants and bars. Because that's how it works here.

This bar owner send out like a mass message on the foreigner forum that
if you came here to hang out everything would be free. And for Chinese
people everything started at like 60RMB, which is a lot for drinks here.

Later this month, Nikki and I went exploring to a park we pass on the bus all the time but never stopped. So this time, we got off the bus and went to check it out.

These rock walks are at all parks, and they are for walking in barefoot to massage your feet.

This park was great! It was really pretty. You could rent an old boat and have the guy row you around the little park.

And another bonus: We saw a couple getting engagement pictures and the man was standing on a box to be taller than the girl. So we laughed about that for a good 10 minutes. 

This is my last week in China and teaching. So some classes I've had outside, and others we've played Jeopardy because it's raining. And then we take fun class pictures. I'll post them all together but some of them hacked my Photo Booth and took ones.
