A pretty uneventful week, I just taught and hung out at the school. But this weekend there is an model air plane show! Right outside my window! What a luck!
As you can see, Chinese-English phrasing has really taken over my mind. I find myself speaking in short, simple sentences, sometimes they aren't even complete. So everyone else's English has been rubbing off on me haaa
I better get used to this reaction when I come back home and
you guys can't understand my English
Pick up lines went great! My students loved how terribly cheesy they were. I threw in one that was "Hey I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number, so call me maybe?" and then we watched the music video by Carly Rae Jespen. They liked that a lot. Especially the end of that video, which they found hilarious.
After pick up lines, I had the students play an elementary classic, MASH. After playing, they would share their results. My favorite? The girl who said proudly: "I will be a rich lady, I need no husband, no kids, and I live in a castle." She's going to go far in life, I can tell haaa.
I have a feeling that that student and this lady have a similar life philosophy...
And that's about it for this week. I walked to the air show this morning it was pretty cool. They've been setting up all week and model planes have been flying around the school for awhile. Here are some more pictures around the school:

Classrooms
My apartment building. I know.
This is entirely real. And all over campus.
Okay now some fun model air planes!
One of the classes I teach represented our school at the opening ceremony. Aren't they the cutest??? Hard to believe they are 17.
They had planes that looked like Ironman and Superman, which I thought was pretty cool. One of the videos I caught them playing "You Raise Me Up", and if you listen closely you can hear me react to the absurdness haaa. The last video is from earlier in the week outside my apartment when the plane people were just messing around.
So pretty normal week! Just for funzies, I found this picture another teacher posted on the Chinese Facebook equivalent.
It's not racist to say Chinese drivers are crazy.
They are.
And they know it.
Sometimes I have to fight to not make this face while riding shotgun
So Halloween fun time in class next week yaaaay! I am buying tons more candy for the students and they are super excited. You are never to old for candy!
